Brass rule

I've finally managed to obtain a small amount of brass rule. Started with a very plain cross.

  1. Simon this is a gorgeous blog - great posts - and of particular interest to me since I will be doing a letterpress course in July. Hope you don't mind me saying, but it would be handy if you added the Followers Widget to your blog. I would like to be a follower and I am sure there are many more who would follow you too :-)

  2. Many thanks Angela! I've added the Followers widget as suggested. Good luck with the course - would be interested in hearing about it and the presses you get to use!

Its at UWE where I did my MA. I did a little bit of letterpress on my MA and loved it. They use Vandercook presses. We had this amazing old man called Len demonstrate to us. He was a real legend. He had been apprenticed when he was really young and had been a typesetter for many years.

  6. Thanks Simon. Yes there is lots to learn about letterpress, so it will be fun doing the course. UWE also has the Centre for Fine Print Research so they are real experts and have some amazing kit.

Hopefully the blog award will get you some followers.
